Opal Hale, 83 of Saint Helen Michigan went to be with our Lord on Saturday December 2, 2017. Opal was born in Floyd County Kentucky on March 31, 1934.
Opal Irene Hale is survived by her husband Edward Glenn Hale, sister Bessie Music, and Brothers John Whitaker and Virgal Whitaker. Her 5 children Debby DeHaven and husband Dale, Sheila Arnett and husband Michael, Edward Hale Jr., Michael Hale, and daughter of the heart Stacy Capella. 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Opal’s love and laughter was shared and felt by all of them.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Florance Whitaker, and siblings Gilbert Hall, Bertie Hall, Bertha Brown, Ann, Martha, Sadie, Lulie, Joyce, Ollie, Gomer and Homer, one son Baby Hale, and one grandson.
Opal and Glenn were married November 14, 1950 at the young age of 16 and 18. Opal retired to Summerfield Florida where she went to work as a Nanny for Dalton and Hunter. They came home to Saint Helen to live their golden years in the knotty pine home they built together through the years.
