Wilma Ester (Webb) Mayo

Wilma Ester Mayo, age 98 of Martin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on January 22, 1926 in (Turkey Creek) Maytown, Kentucky to the late Willy and Haley Hayes Webb. She was the wife of the late Billy Mayo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martin, Kentucky.

She was survived by her daughters Brenda Barnett (Bob) and Mary Sue Kerestesy (Fred) of Lexington, Kentucky, and a son David Mayo (Sharon) of Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Mayo and her son Dennis Mayo and daughter in law Nancy Mayo; Deceased brothers and sisters James Webb, Robert Webb, Ronald Webb, Arnold Webb, Kay Frazier, Beatrice Chaffins, Barbara Salisbury, Majorie Akers, Carma Fraley, Esta Swan, and Bola Cottrell.

She is survived by grandchildren, Janet Bertrand, Emily Koziol, Susan Holcomb, Todd Mayo, Dennis Mayo II, Beverly Stumbo, and Justin Barnett; great-grandchildren Josh Holcomb, Grant Holcomb, Jesse Barnett, Elijah Holcomb, Haley Brown, Nick Koziol, Jalyn Barnett, and Bryce Rogers; great-great grandchildren Brady, Ellery, and Maylee.

We would also like to thank a special friend Michelle Moss, and the caring families of the residents, and the staff of Sayre Christian Village for their love and support for the past nine years.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mayo Family Cemetery, Martin, KY, visitation is from 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.

Pallbearers include Todd Mayo, Dennis Mayo II, Justin Barnett, Grant Holcomb, Nick Koziol, Elijah Holcomb,and Bryce Rogers. Honorary pallbearers Steve Bertrand and Keith Holcomb.
