Wilma (Cooley) Hunter Spears

Wilma G. Hunter Spears, age 88, of East Point, KY, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  She was born January 28, 1934 in Wheelwright, KY, a daughter of the late Walter and Beulah Driver Cooley.  She was a member of the Zion Deliverance Church, Wayland, KY and a homemaker.

She is survived by one son; George Hunter, several grandchildren, great grandchildren other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Paul Hunter, second husband; Willis Spears, one son; James Hunter, one daughter; Rita Scarberry, three brothers; Walter, James and Johnny Cooley, four sisters; Lois Hopson, Maxine Stevens, Vallie Connors and Verlie Hopson.

Graveside service will be conducted Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richmond Cemetery, Prestonsburg, KY, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
