William Leroy Martin, Sr. , age 72, died Wednesday night, May 6, 2020, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 3, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Earl and Minnie (Hall) Martin. William served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mason’s in River Rouge. William earned his associate’s degree and then later became supervisor for Brinks Armored Truck Company. He was a fan of the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed relaxing in the sun.

He is survived by three children: Josie Martin (Kyle), Jennifer Martin (Scott), William “JR” (Ashley) Martin Jr., 7 grandchildren Taylor Martin, Gaige Straub, Dillion Sheats, Jillian and Jade Simon, Mason and Madison Martin, two nephews, Donnie and Steve Farley and one sister, Linda Toohey.

He was preceded in death his parents, one sister, Louise “Bootsey” Farley, nephew, Tony and niece, Tracy.
