Wanda Sue (Lawson) Yates

Wanda Sue Yates, age 75, of Banner, KY, widow of Kermit Charles Yates, died Sunday, August 29, 2021 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born February 20, 1946 in Honaker, KY a daughter of the late Azzie and Rhoda Jane Harvey Lawson. Wanda attended the Church of Christ.

    She is survived by one son, Scotty Ray (Letitia) Yates, Banner, two grandchildren; Melanie (Matt) Compton, Austin (Alisha) Yates,  and three great grandchildren; Sydney, Madison and Natalie Compton.

    In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Lee Yates, and two brothers; Harry and Hubert Lawson.

    Funeral service for Wanda Sue Yates will be conducted Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11 AM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Bruce Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery, Honaker. Visitation is after 6 PM Tuesday and 10 AM Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home.
