Virginia May (Burchett) Wallace

Virginia May Burchett Wallace, age 83, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Franklin Delano Wallace, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Riverview Healthcare Center, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born May 16, 1936 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late Tom “Jumper” and Rebecca Burchett Burchett. She was a homemaker and a member of Irene Cole Memorial First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Dr. Brian (Stephanie) Wallace, Prestonsburg, KY, Dr. Kenneth (Dr. Olivia) Wallace, Florence, KY, one brother; Kenneth Ray Burchett, Prestonsburg, six grandchildren; Kyle, Madi and Maggie Wallace, Kateland and Nicholas McDonald and Connor Kute, two great grandchildren; Hadlee and Kayden.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Clyde, Wade, Glenn B, Jack and Gayle Burchett, three sisters; Geraldine Cesco, Tommie Jean Richardson and Blanche Cox.

A private family service is scheduled with Roy Harlow officiating, followed by burial in the Campbell Cemetery, Mousie, KY. The service will be live streamed beginning around 1:50 p.m. Thursday, on the Hall Funeral Home Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/hallbrothers.
