Obituary

   Violet Mae Adkins Spurlock, age 83, of Spurlock, KY, widow of Roy Spurlock, died Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Prestonsburg, KY. She was born April 19, 1939 in Spurlock, a daughter of the late Elzie and Nora Ann Meade Adkins. Violet was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.

   She is survived by two sons, Billy Roy (Jean) Spurlock, Printer, KY, Brian Kenneth (Victoria) Spurlock, Winchester, KY, four grandchildren; Michelle (Aaron) Gearheart, Krystal (Stewart) Spurlock, Brittany Spurlock, Brody Landon Spurlock, and seven great grandchildren: Jordan, Brayden, Caleb, Austin, Jeremy, Weston and Greyson.

   In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Ishamel Lee Adkins, and one sister; Joyce Ann Barnett.

   Funeral service for Violet Mae Adkins Spurlock will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Bob Harper officiating, Burial will follow in the Meade Cemetery, Spurlock Creek-Printer, KY. Visitation is after 6 PM Thursday and after 10:00 AM on Friday at Hall Funeral Home.
