Victor Castro Guerrero, age 76, of Tampico, Tamaulipas, MEX, passed away October 14, 2023 in Tampico, he was born December 23, 1946 in Veracruz, MEX, a son of the late Enrique & Maria Guerrero Castro. He was a laborer, mechanic who loved to work on old cars. He retired from the Floyd County Board of Education in 2010 after several years of service.
He is survived by two sons; Enrique “Henry” Castro, Lake Wales, FL, Victor (Tiffany) Castro Jr., Kadoka, SD, five daughters; Norma Castro, Gonzalez, Tamaulipas, MEX, Marlen Castro, Atlanta, GA, Sally (Johnny) Castro, Mt. Vernon, KY, Adela (William) Maynard, Hagerhill, KY, Jessica (Kennith “KJ”) Mercado, Harold, KY, six sisters; Ana Guerrero, Vicky Guerrero, Agustina Castro, Estefana Montelongo, Nicolasa Enriquez, all of Mexico, Blanca Sanchez, Houston, TX, 25 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Elsa Castro, his sister; Adela Gonzalez, one son; Victor “Edy” Castro, one grandson; Matthew Jones
Celebration of life will be conducted Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Praise Assembly Church, Prestonsburg, KY. with J.M. Sloce & Kennith Mercado officiating. Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church.
