Thelma Etta (Jones) Fugate

            Thelma Etta Fugate, age 94, of Drift, KY, widow of Archie Fugate, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 10, 1925 in Louisville, KY a daughter of the late Frank Talmadge and Thelma Green Jones. She was a member of the Drift Presbyterian Church.

            She is survived by one son: Archie Fugate Jr. (Sharon), Madisonville, KY; five daughters: Laura Faye Devine, Harrodsburg, KY, Nell Wagoner, Drift, KY, Shirley Ann Gunnell, Drift, KY, Peggy Lee Prater (Steve), Prestonsburg, KY, Sharon Gayle Spears, McConells, SC; one daughter-in-law: Freda Fugate; one sister: Betty Stickler, Drift, KY; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

            In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by one son: Frank Talmadge Fugate and one brother: Frank Talmadge Jones Jr.

            Funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Rev. Archie Fugate Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Drift Cemetery, Drift, KY and visitation will be after 6:00 PM Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
