Thelma C. (Collins) Brown

Thelma C. Brown, age 97, of Martin, widow of Tommy Brown, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Riverview Healthcare Center, Prestonsburg, KY.  She was born October 25, 1922 in Boyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Elzie and Sally Marshall Collins.  She was a member of the Hueysville Church of Christ and a homemaker.

She is survived by five sons; Carl David Brown, and Tommy (Wanda) Brown II, all of Langley, KY, Billy Joe (Nancy) Brown, Kingsport, TN, Paul (Peggy) Brown, Garrett, KY and Jimmy (Sandra) Brown, Martin, KY, one daughter; Virginia (Jim) Carpenter, Stanton, KY, one half brother; RJ Ratliff, West Liberty, KY, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Barbara Sue Brown, two brothers; Clarence Collins and Lewis Collins, three sisters; Joann Osborne, Jane Dudley and Isabelle Mullins, one daughter-in-law; Linda Brown, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Chester Ray Varney officiating.  Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery, Langley, KY visitation is afte 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
