Steve Wallen, Sr.

   Steve Wallen Sr., age 76, of Garrett, KY, widower of Scarlett Hall Wallen, died Sunday, April 19, 2020 in the Hazard ARH Hospital, Hazard, KY. He was born October 23, 1943 in Garrett, a son of the late Lawrence and Hazel Smith Wallen. Steve was a retired Coal Miner, a member of the White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church, Marion, OH and a member of  the Wayland Masonic Lodge.

   He is survived by two sons, Steve Wallen, Jr., Marion, OH, Gregory Lee (Loretta)Wallen, Garrett, four daughters; Barbara Lynn (Brian) Kelly, Marion, OH, Michelle Renee (John) Lee, Cape Coral, FL, Jolene Denee (Steve) Ginther and Anetia Diann (Tony) Stansbury, all of Grove City, OH, two brothers; Shannon Wallen, Garrett, Edward Wallen, Pyramid, KY, twenty five grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren

   In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Wallen Jr. and Malcolm Wallen.

   A private family graveside service and visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2020 in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, KY, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
