Stella Jean (Gibson) Martin

Stella Jean Martin, age 91, of Langley, KY, wife of the late Berton Martin, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at her residence.  She was born December 18, 1932 in Dema, KY, a daughter of the late Miles Sr. and Lucy Bradley Gibson.  She was a member of the Garrett First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters; Mary Sue Martin and Billie (Johnny) Peters all of Langley, KY, three grandchildren; Sarah (Jordan) Helton, Shawna E. (James) Elliott and Xavier (Stacy) Scott, four great grandchildren; James Asher Elliott, Kadence Elliott, Stella Scott and Halle Scott.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five brothers; Champ, Earcle, Ishamel, Russell and Miles Gibson Jr., one sister; Aggie Collins.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Blaine DePoy and Randy Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery, Langley, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
