Shirley (Spurlock) Parsons

Shirley Spurlock Parsons, age 89, of Drift, KY, widow of George Parsons, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at her residence.  She was born October 17, 1935 in Printer, KY, a daughter of the late Keat "Big Daddy" Spurlock and Molly Wright Arnold.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons; David (Stella) Parsons, Sitka, KY and Henry “Bucky” (Tina) Parsons, Owingsville, KY, one daughter, Georgeann (Willis) Parsons, Drift, KY, three grandchildren; Kelli (David) White, Ashley Parsons and Amanda Caudill, three great grandchildren; Jace White, Karley White and Payton Simpson.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son-in-law; Willis Chaffins, two brothers; Clinton and Buster Spurlock, seven sisters; Ocie Lewis, Rosetta Bennett, Pearlie Jackson, Ruby Wells, Joann Olah, Katherine "Kitty" Swiger and Lavinia Bolen.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Parsons Family Cemetery, Sitka, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
