Sharon Sue Woods

Sharon Sue Woods, age 70, of Allen, KY, daughter of the late George Lee and Florence Salyers Woods Bussey, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1953 in Martin, KY. Sharon was the current Mayor of Allen, KY and former Clerk for the Floyd County Attorney's office, and a member of the DAV Ladies Auxillary.

    She is survived by two brothers, Glenn Woods, Allen, KY, Larry (Connie) Woods, Prestonsburg, KY, one sister; Lavaughna Woods Lane, N. Manchester, IN, and eighteen nieces and nephews;  Cathy Crank, Debra Hurd, Shular Hurd Jr., Denese Renzy, Tanya Woods, Glenna Castillo, Gail Elliott, John David Osborne, Yvonne Smith, Lisa O'Malley, Leah Woods, Jessica Crumpler, Katie Robinson, Kelly Aust, Kierstin Shurtleff, Wesley Woods, Randy Woods and Shane Simpkins.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby Lee, Ernest, Tommy and Clyde Woods, and four sisters; Phyllis Hurd, Alice Osborne, Loretta and Aretta Woods.

    Funeral service for Sharon Sue Woods will be conducted Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Randy Woods officiating. Entombment will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation is after 2 PM Friday at Hall Funeral Home.
