Sharlene Osborne

Sharlene Osborne age 84 of Betsy Layne KY passes from this life to her eternal home on November 17, 2021, at Highlands ARH of Prestonsburg. She was born February 6, 1937, to the late Roby and Flora Osborne.

She is preceded in death by her husband Emery Osborne, Jr., one son, Bobby Gene Osborne, two brothers, Dizzy Dean Osborne and Phil Osborne, one daughter-in-law, Shari Osborne and two sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Osborne and Losie Osborne.

She is survived by one son, Roger (Debbie) Osborn, Stanville, KY, two grandsons, Patrick (Tasha) Osborne, Inez, KY., Brandon (Hannah) Osborn, Pikeville, KY., one granddaughter, Brittany (Kevin) Potter, Pikeville, KY., four great grandchildren, Logan Potter, Jackson Potter, Ellie Osborne and Finn Osborne.

She was a member of the local Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, participated in the senior Olympics, and was a faithful member of the Betsy Layne Senior Citizens Center.

She enjoyed going shopping, socializing, gospel singing, but most of all telling anyone who would listen that her four grandchildren are the smartest, most beautiful children on the planet.

She was a member of Betsy Layne United Methodist Church for over 30 years until the doors closed in October of 2019. She then took membership at Calvary Baptist Church.

Granny will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Healthcare Center for all of the love and care Granny received as a resident there.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Tim McClanahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
