Sandra Kay (Moore) Akers

Sandra Kay Moore Akers, age 67, of McDowell, KY, widow of Joseph Eddie Akers, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at her residence.  She was born April 5, 1956 in Ashtabula, OH, a daughter of the late Ed Ray “Panhandle” and Mabel Bridgeman Moore.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by five brothers; Basel Ray, Ricky, Ted, Billy and John Moore all of McDowell, KY, two sisters; Teresa Hall, Wayland, KY and Julia Mae Moore, McDowell, KY.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Muril Moore.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 6 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY, visitation is from 12 noon until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
