"Rudy" Griffith

Rudolph "Rudy" Griffith Jr., age 78, of Prestonsburg, husband of Brenda L. Hunter Griffith, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his residence.  He was born March 26, 1945 in Martin, KY, a son of the late Rudolph Griffith and Alma Jarrell Key. He was a retired conductor from CSX.

In addition to his wife Brenda, he is survived by one son; Dr. Bryan Alan (Beth) Griffith, Prestonsburg, KY, one daughter; Jennifer (Barry) Hall, Prestonsburg, KY, one sister; Susan (Roger) Vanhoose, River, KY, six grandchildren, Alex (Megan), Adam, Aaron and Audrey Griffith, Hannah and Houston Hall, two great grandchildren; Ada Elizabeth Griffith and Eloise Gray Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; William Edward and Robert Eugene Griffith and one sister; Brenda Settles.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Nathan Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
