Roy Ray Duncan, age 70 of Hueysville, KY, widower of Patricia Jean Saylor Duncan passed away on Wedenesday, November 14th, 2018 at The Appalachian Regional Hospital, Hazard, KY. He was born June 29th, 1948 in McDowell, Ky: A son of the late Roy and Evada Slone Duncan, he was a retired car salesman with Music Carter-Hughes and former sargent with the Lakeside Police Department in Lakeside, Colorado. He was also an Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War where he received the Vietnam Service Medal and earned 4 Bronze stars. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW and was a Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy.
He is survived by two daughters: Eva Marie Duncan of Hueysville, KY, Wendi Janae Duncan of Denver, CO; one son: Troy Duncan of Denver, CO; one brother: Sam Duncan, Hueysville, Ky; two sisters: Mae Maretta, Norwalk, OH, Teresa Palumbo, David, Ky; three grandchildren: Ashley, Micha and Jacory; one great-grandchild: Elianna
In addition to his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by five brothers: Charlie, Amos, Frank, Glenn and Franklin Duncan; two sisters: Mavis Perry and Mazie McKenzie
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, November 19th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Manns officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Family Cemetery in Hueysville, Ky. Visitation is from 6:00 until 10:00 pm on Saturday and all day Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
