Roxie Faye (Whitaker) Hicks

Roxie Faye Hicks, age 73 of Hueysville, KY, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY.  She was born December 13, 1952 in Martin, KY, a daughter of the late Allen and Airmone Miller Whitaker.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son; Lawrence Brent Hicks, Hueysville, KY, one daughter; Michelle Handshoe, Hueysville, KY, two sisters; Shirley Collins, Martin, KY and Kathleen Butler, Kendallville, IN, two grandchildren; Paula and Riley Hicks and a special great niece; Delany.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son; Paul Hicks, six brothers; Adam, Von, Jerry, Darvin, Roger and Allen Whitaker Jr., three sisters; Wilma Wireman, Rita Whitaker and Connie Lynn Whitaker, one grandson; Paul Blake Hicks.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Wireman and Don Holcomb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is from 6 until 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
