Rodney Dean Damron

Rodney Dean Damron, age 68, husband of Marcella Miller Damron, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026 at his home in Martin, KY.  Rodney was born September 22, 1957 in Ashtabula, OH, to the late Clemit and Ruby Bentley Damron.  He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a second counsel to the Bishop.  He also retired from Dyno Noble as a truck driver.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; Wade Alan Damron and Christopher Jason (Stacy) Damron, all of Martin, KY, two brothers; Clemit Alan (Tammi) Damron, Georgetown, KY and Kenneth (Olivia) Damron, Allen, KY, one sister; Judy Looney, Pikeville, KY, six grandchildren; Alana, Sara, Blake, Bella, Lillie and Ivy, one great grandchild; Cove, two brothers at heart; Kenneth Scarberry and Craig Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law; Teresa Damron and one brother-in-law; Randy Looney.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Keith Parsons, Dale McKinney and Dana Spurlock officiating, burial will follow in the John Wesley Ousley Cemetery, Stephens Br., Martin, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday and all day Wednesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Parker Damron, Blaze Damron, DJ Damron, Kane Scarberry, Luke Scarberry, Jonathan Scarberry, Blake Frasure, Kenny Scarberry, Caleb Damron, Clemit Damron, Kevin Looney, Logan Damron and Gavin Gibson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kent Dingus, Joey Williamson, Kenneth Scarberry, Craig Hicks, Larry Hancock, Riley Damron, Kenneth Damron and Alan Damron.
