Robert "Bob" Lee King

Robert "Bob" Lee King, age 78, of McDowell, KY, husband of Sarah Rebecca Anderson King, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the McDowell A.R.H., McDowell, KY. He was born May 15, 1940 in Drift, KY, a son of the late Earnest and Ethel Trent King. He was a graduate of McDowell High School and member of the McDowell First Baptist Church.  Mr. King was a lifetime member of the Masons.  Mr. King was named All Kentucky Basketball and a member of the Kentucky Softball Hall of Fame.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Diana (Tim) Eades and Janie (Claude) Blevins, both of McDowell, KY; two grandchildren: Layne Alexandra Stewart and Courtney Rachelle Blevins two great grandchildren: Jaden Stewart and Jamere Knuckles,  one brother: Rodney (Mary) King, Westerville, OH; one sister: Betty Lois Sykes, Marion, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Virginia Henry and brother; Roger King.

Funeral service for Mr. King will be conducted on Thursday, November 1st at 1:00 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. CB Scott and Tommy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Family Cemetery, McDowell, KY. Visitation is 6-10 PM Tuesday and all day Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
