Riley Newsome Jr.

Riley Newsome Jr., age 73, of Hi Hat, KY passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born January 6, 1945 in Grethel, KY a son of the late Riley Newsome Sr. and Etta Newsome.  Riley was disabled and a Vietnam Army Veteran.

        He is survived by four sons, Timothy (Tonya) Newsome, Thelma, KY,  Donnie Newsome, Rogersville, TN, Ronnie Newsome, Hi Hat, James Newsome, Chapmansville, WV two daughters; Ellen Marie (Larry) Adams, Chapmansville, WV and Regina Newsome, London, KY, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Barbara Hall Newsome, several brothers and sisters, and one grandson.

        Funeral service for Riley Newsome Jr. will be conducted Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11 am in the Ligon Community Church, Ligon, KY. Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery, Beaver, KY with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
