Ricie DeRossett Obituary

Aaron Ricie DeRossett, age 83, of Allen, KY, husband of Patricia Hinchman DeRossett, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at his residence.  He was born June 15, 1941 in Dwale, KY, a son of the late Homer and Ida Belle Lafferty DeRossett.  

He was a member and served on the board of Christ United Methodist Church, served on the board of Allen Volunteer Fire Department, Wesley Christian School, was a member of the John W. Hall Masonic Lodge No. 950 F&AM.  Ricie owned and operated Allen Cable and TV Company, was a retired Land Agent for KY-WV and EQT Gas Companies and was a US Marine Corps Veteran.

In addition to his wife , he is survived by one daughter; Dr. Aaronda (Jim) Wells, Stanville, KY, one son; Alan DeRossett, Allen, KY, one sister; Emma Sue Geiger, Tampa, FL, three grandchildren; Meredith Wells, Devin DeRossett and Gemma Tackett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; William Thomas DeRossett and Earl Ray DeRossett, two sisters; Peggy Jo DeRossett and Patricia Shepherd, one granddaughter; Victoria Morgan Wells.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 3 until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
