Rhonda Louise (Hurd) Tackett

Rhonda Louise Tackett, age 65, beloved wife of Richard Tackett, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, after a long battle with ALS.  She was a faithful member of the Allen Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Betty Meadows of Betsy Layne and the late Marion Hurd Jr., of Flatlick, KY.

She is survived by her Loving Husband, Richard Tackett, Ivel, KY, son; Jason (April) Hall, sisters; Kathy (Scott) Williams, Ivel, KY and Janice Hurd, Auxier, KY, granddaughters; Kennedy, Charli and Roxy Hall, grandson; Cameron Tackett, sisters-in-law, Deborah Sue (Herbert) Amburgey, Patricia Lynn (Greg) Hall, Beth Ann (David) Castle and Evelyn Roberts, brothers-in-law; Conley Tackett, Ronnie Tackett and Charles Larry Tackett, a host of nieces and nephews, also her dog' Sophie who she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Pamela Hughes and step-daughter; Jessica Tackett.

God sent an Angel, Evan Handshoe, who has provided daily love and comfort to Rhonda and Richard during this difficult time in their life, whom we appreciate so much for all he has done.  We all feel like he is our family.  The family also appreciates Rhonda's caregivers; Jeanne, Laura, Carol, Liz, Sue, Evelyn and Jean.

Rhonda will be greatly missed by all those that loved her.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen Baptist Church, Allen, KY, with burial to follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY,  visitation is from 6 until 10 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, and from 12 noon until 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen Baptist Church, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
