Ray Horn, age 81, of Langley, KY, husband of Deanna Robinson Horn, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1942 in Martin County, KY, a son of the late Henry Horn, his biological mother Marie Scott Hancock, and the mother who raised him, Sarah Horn. Ray was a retired conductor for CSX Railroad, a past President of the Twin Eagles Flying Club, an avid fisherman, former owner of Ray's Auto, administrator of Pikeville Sportsman Club for 26 years, was inducted into Amateur Trap Shooters Hall of Fame in 2023, and was member of the First Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, KY.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sherry Stivers, London, KY, four brothers; Clifton (Nadine) Horn, Gate City, VA, Dallas Horn, Mike (Ann) Horn and Tim (Tammy) Horn, all of Pikeville, KY, two sisters: Linda (David) Wright, Ohio, Rita Bryant, Greenup, KY. and several brothers and sisters by Marie Scott Hancock, very special pup; Mia & very special kitten; Charlie
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Horn, and one sister; Teresa Conway.
Memorial service will be conducted Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 11 a.m until the time of service Monday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
