Ramona Shelton Stewart, age 65 of McDowell, Ky, wife of Larry Stewart, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. She was born July 11, 1955, in Martin, Ky, a daughter of the late Chester and Dorsa Mullins Shelton. She was a retired Head Start Teacher in the Floyd County School System and a member of the Drift Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Monica Rae (Ellis) Jervis of Prestonsburg, Ky, Stephanie Erin (JJ) Johnson of Hueysville, Ky; two step-children: Ricky Stewart of Price, Ky, and Leah Mudge of McDowell, Ky, four brothers: Albert and Doug Shelton of Indiana, Bruce Shelton of McDowell, Ky, and Gilbert Shelton of Louisa, Ky, eight sisters: Marcella, Reba, Carol, Phyllis, and Shelia Shelton of Drift, Ky, Debbie Tackett of Minnie, Ky, Anita Hall of McDowell, Ky, and Arbutus Kidd of Drift, Ky; four grandchildren: Seth and Joshua Newsome, Bretton and Bradley Jervis
The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Drift Pentecostal Church in Drift, Ky with Ted Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery in McDowell, Ky. Visitation is after 3 pm Saturday, February 20, at the church.
