Priscilla (Howard) Allen

Priscilla H. Allen was born on February 8th, 1930 in Pyramid, KY, to the late Graydon and Julia Prater Howard. She left these earthly bonds on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center after a short illness.

She is survived by her husband Floyd B. Allen, her daughter Sherri R. Allen and her special daughter Cindy L. O’Quinn. Also surviving her are her brother-in-law Joe Mike Allen and his wife Beth Charles Allen. Three nephews Eddie Darrell Stephens, Dr. Grady Stephen and Michael Ward Allen and one niece Anna Marie Allen.

Priscilla is survived by two sisters Mildred Whitaker and Bobby Jean Hale.

Preceding Priscilla in death were her parents Graydon and Julie Prater Howard. Three Brothers Brian Howard, Lowell Howard and Lawrence Howard, sisters Goldie H. Stephens, Clara H. Stephens, Gladys H. Shepherd and June H. Stephens.

Priscilla was a devout Christian. She joined the 1st Baptist Church of Garrett. She would never hesitate to tell you that she was a Christian and how proud she was that she knew her Lord and savior.

She was a lover of roses. She raised every color under the rainbow. Priscilla could have started her own personal greenhouse because she had a natural green thumb.

Priscilla was a retired post master. She began her career at Pyramid, KY and later advanced to a larger facility at Hueysville, KY.

She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, a loving mother, wife and friend.

Funeral service for Mrs. Priscilla H. Allen will be conducted on Saturday, May 30 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard Family Cemetery, David, KY. Visitation is 11:00 am Saturday until time of service. The CDC and local health department social distancing and facial covering guidelines for the Covid-19 virus will be observed.
