Phyllis Jean (Boshears) Amburgy

Phyllis Jean Amburgy, age 77, of Bevinsville, KY, widow of Franklin Amburgy, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at her residence. She was born February 22nd, 1942 in Norton, VA, a daughter of the late Finley & Elizabeth Hill Boshears.

She was a retired postal clerk.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Johnson, Laura Johnson & Trista (Rodney) Slone, all of Bevinsville, Ky. One sister, Maudie Brainard of Catlettsburg, Ky Five Grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Alex Johnson, Jr., Cameron Johnson, Haylee Slone & Brentlee Slone. Four Great-Grandchildren, Raeghan Adams, Devlyn, Jace & Matthew Johnson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death  by one brother, Herbert Boshears

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Hope Baptist Church in Melvin, Ky with Ray Grindstaff officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckingham Cemetery in Bevinsville, Ky. Visitation will begin at 6 pm at the church.
