Peter "Pete" Brandon Howard

Peter Brandon "Pete" Howard, age 42, of Bucks Branch, Martin, KY, passed away on March 6, 2021, at Martin ARH Hospital, Martin, KY.

Pete was born on October 16, 1978, the son of Karen Patton Howard of Auxier, KY, and the late Richard Timothy “Tim” Howard.  He was a graduate of Prestonsburg High School and earned a degree in Applied Science in Surveying from Big Sandy Community & Technical College.  Pete was licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Professional Land Surveyor and was employed at Summit Engineering, Pikeville, KY at the time of his passing.  He attended Destination Community Church in Prestonsburg.

In addition to his mother, Pete is survived by his fiancée, Amanda Blair, and her son, Sean Jarrell; his children, Brenden Michael Howard and Aubree McKay Howard, and their mother, Jennifer Henson Howard; a sister, Stacia H. (Ronald) Slone of Auxier, KY; a niece, Taylor M. “Kenzie” Slone; nephew, Rylan Chase Slone; aunts, Charlene P. (Eugene) Muncy of Williamsport, KY, and Peggy R. Howard, of Prestonsburg. KY; an uncle, Roger D. Patton, of Decatur, AL; as well as several cousins.

Pete is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Josephine Ellis Howard, Prestonsburg, KY, and his maternal grandparents, Charlie H. and Lucille Wells Patton, Auxier, KY, as well as an aunt, Judee Howard Carter, and uncles, O.R. “Pete” Howard, James F. “Jimbo” Howard, and John Mark Howard.

Services will be held at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY on Saturday, March 13, 2021, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. and a memorial service at 3 p.m. with Tommy Reed officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
