Patricia (Pat) Coburn Bowling, formerly of Garrett, Kentucky, passed away June 1, 2026, in Collierville, Tennessee, at the age of 87. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Bowling, mother, Roberta Sloan, stepfather, Delbert 0. Sloan, father, Basil Coburn, and brother, Doug Coburn. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Bowling Heckman of Collierville, Tennessee, grandchildren, Jacob E. Heckman and Sarah E. Heckman, and brothers, Estill (Gene) Coburn and David B. Sloan.
Pat was a graduate of Garrett High School and Berea College, Class of 1960 with a degree in Home Economics. After college, she and Robert moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia, and resided there and in Monroe, Georgia, for many years. Pat worked as a nutritionist and home economics teacher. Her contributions to her community included years of service to the Girl Scouts of America. Pat was a lady that had an appreciation for the proper coordination of fashion, design, and decor. She demonstrated that in every aspect of her life.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be June 8, 2026, from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service to follow at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky. Burial will take place in the Fitzpatrick Family Cemetery, Eastern, KY.
