Orville Turner

Orville Turner, age 95, of Prestonsburg, KY, husband of Dixie Storie Turner, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 in Johnson County, KY.  He was born July 12, 1923 in Minnie, KY, a son of the late Frank and Birdie Mosley Turner.  He was a member of the Tram Missionary Baptist Church, a US Army World War II Veteran and a retired tool and die maker for Emerson Electric Company.

He is survived by his wife; Dixie, son Daryl (Jeanette) Turner, Morrow, OH, Carl Turner, Waterville, OH, three grandchildren; Nikki, Jacque and Christy and three great grandchildren; Henry, Emmitt and Eleanor.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry and Novis Turner and one sister; Juanita Stumbo.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
