Oma (Conley) Reed

Oma Conley Reed, age 91, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 10. What a beautiful reunion she is having with her husband Clarence Reed who preceded her in death on September 11, 1972.

She was born in Kentucky, to Andrew Jackson Conley and Virgie (Bolen) Conley on March 1, 1930.

Oma is survived by her two daughters, Dyane (Dean) Miller and Deborah (Dave) Lohr.  Along with her grandchildren who were her joy, Ellie (Jacob) Carlsen, Alayna (Brady) Hancock, Brandon (Stephanie) Ray, David Dane, & Michelle (Casey) Lutzke and six great grandchildren.

Her parents, Virgie and Andrew along with two siblings Mollie and Nev were awaiting her arrival in glory.  Her two brothers Harold and Billy Ray Conley, survive.

Oma had taught school in Kentucky until she met the love of her life, Clarence, they eloped and settled in Michigan on March 11, 1950. She was then employed by the Kellogg Company, working in the control department for 27 years.

Oma loved her family with an unconditional love. She loved to travel, read, cut out her horoscope, was always on the go walking or shopping and enjoyed listening to southern gospel music and Elvis. 

Her first love was Jesus and she shared His light and love with everyone that knew her.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon Monday, January 17, 2022 at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.  Graveside service will follow at the Handshoe Cemetery, Laurel Fork, Quicksand, KY.
