Nora Lou (Mathews) Jones

    Nora Lou Jones, age 88, of  Beaver, KY, widow of Dennis "Bob" Jones, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born July 19, 1933 in Ligon, KY the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Plear Mae Osborne Matthews. Nora was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Floyd County School System for 31 years, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Jehovah's Witness.

   She is survived by one son, Brian (Pam) Jones, Hi Hat, KY, one son-in-law; Terry Clemons, Hi Hat, four grandchildren; Presley (Gabriella) Jones, Denora Jones, Candi Branham (Holt) McGee, Cody (Kayla) Branham; one step grandson; Kevin (Jamie) Clemons; six great grandchildren; Harper, Mattie, Justin, Jared, Cecilia and Connor.

  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brigett Dawn Jones-Clemons, and one grandson, Matthew Branham.

  Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin. Entombment will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation is after 6 PM Monday and all day Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home.
