Nellie (Parsons) Meade

Nellie Parsons Meade, age 83, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Wendell Meade, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY. She was born July, 12, 1937 in Martin, KY, a daughter of the late Frank and Allie Smith Parsons. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Allen Water Commission, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter: Stephanie Jane Wilson, Bradenton, FL, one son; Rodney Wendell Meade, Prestonsburg, KY, one brother; George Parsons, Frankfort, KY and one sister; Janice Routledge, Frankfort, KY.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill and Russell Stephen Parsons and one sister; Maggie Branham.

Funeral service for Mrs. Nellie Parsons will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2020 in the Hall Funeral Home chapel with Willie Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY. Visitation is Saturday after 5 PM at the funeral home.
