Naomi Yates

Naomi Yates, age 89, of Honaker, KY, widow of Wesley Yates, passed away Monday, June16, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born October 02, 1935 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Preston and Laura Kidd Yates. She was a member of the Harold Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons; Larry Preston Yates, Virgie, KY,  David Yates of Robinson Creek, Shane Maran Yates Harold, KY, three daughters; Pauletta Yates Linkey, Mulberry Grave, IL, Deloris Yates (Danny) Newsom, Robinson Creek, KY  Debra Lynn Yates (Jeff) Kidd, Honaker, KY, one sister; Loretta Boyd, Wakeman, OH, and 13 grandchildren, 28 great  grandchildren, and 4 great-great children.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; Palmer, Elmer, Darrell, and Ecoma Yates, four sisters; Katherine Creasy, Velma Lawson, Darlene Yates, Genieve Yates, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Naomi Yates will be conducted Friday, June 20, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with the Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Yates-Lawson Cemetery, Honaker, KY. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
