Muriel Moore Francis, age 98, of Garrett, Kentucky, widow of Bill Francis, Jr., passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Muriel was born October 30, 1926, in Garrett, Kentucky, to the late Albert and Rosha Spencer Moore. She was a retired postal clerk and owner and operator of the Francis Western Auto in Garrett. She was a member of the Garrett First Baptist Church for 70 years.
Muriel and Bill Jr. were married on June 7, 1946, and united their lives together. To this union four children were born. Two sons: Larry (Neva) Francis and Paul (Brenda) Francis; and, two daughters, Brenda (Steve) Bowman and Mary (Randy) Osborne; ten grandchildren: Robin Francis, Byron Francis, Greg Hayes, Jeremy Hall, Candice Osborne, Travis Francis, Kari Osborne, Paul David Francis, Austin Francis and Christian Francis; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Clarence Moore, Arthur Harley Moore, Harry Moore, John Moore, Lloyd Moore & Marvin Moore; and two sisters: Myreda Snyder & Grace Combs.
Visitation for Muriel Moore Francis will be Tuesday, November 5, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m., in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Kentucky, with Randy Osborne and Blaine DePoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, Kentucky.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Byron Francis, Greg Hayes, Jeremy Hall, Travis Francis, Paul David Francis, Austin Francis, Christian Francis, Brad Graham Tackett, Braxton Tackett, Bryson Hall and Braden Francis.
