Stephen Ray "Monk" Boyd, age 62, of Dana, KY, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Hazard ARH, Hazard, KY. He was born September 24, 1959 in Prestonsburg, KY, a son of the late Wilford and Ruth Akers Boyd. He was a carpenter.
He is survived by one son; Michael Stephen Boyd, Pikeville, KY, one daughter; Rebecca Lynne Boyd, Pikeville, KY, two brothers; Bobby Boyd, Pikeville, KY and Tom Boyd, Martin, KY, two sisters; Vivian Jane Boyd, Dana, KY and Sherronda Boyd Branham, Dana, KY, one granddaughter; Sierra Rose Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 12 noon at the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, Dana, KY, with family and friends officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery, Hunts Fork, Dana, KY, visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
