Michael Anthony Helmstetter, Jr., age 44 of Garrett, KY, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, Hazard, KY. He was born September 11, 1976 in Lima, OH, a son of Michael Anthony Helmstetter Sr., Oxan, AR and Melody Duff Raines, Auxier, KY. He was a coal miner.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by one son: Lucas Trey Helmstetter, Grundy, VA and his Fiancée: Drucella Scott, Garrett, KY, one half-brother; Jordan Helmstetter, St. Marys, OH and two half sisters; Makayla and Cassandra Helmstetter, both of Wapakonetta, OH.

A private graveside service will be Saturday, January 9 at 1 PM at the Chaffins Cemetery, Rock Fork, Garrett, KY.
