Matt Kidd

Dennis Matthew Kidd, age 44, of Dana, KY, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his residence.  He was born January 24, 1980 in Pikeville, KY, a son of Danny Ray and Barb Kidd of Dana, KY.  Matt was a member of the Warehouse Church and a Counselor with Isaiah House.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his son; Elijah Scott Kidd, brother; Russell (Stacey) Kidd,, half sister; Andrea Kidd, Nephews; Andrew and Cole, Nieces; Cassidy and Emma Kate Kidd, God Son; Chandler Rose, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Dennis and Alpha Kidd and Matthew “Dump” and Jean Kidd, cousins; D-Wayne Hughes and Mark Kidd.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Barry Clark and Mike Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Akers Cemetery, Hunts Fork, Dana, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday and all day Wednesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a scholarship fund for Elijah Scott Kidd. An account has been made in Elijah’s name at People’s Bank. Donations can be made at People’s Bank locations in Prestonsburg, Paintsville, Pikeville or Martin.
