Maryland Conn Jr.

Maryland Conn Jr., age 97, of Martin, KY, widower of Zella Rice Conn, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Minnie, KY.  He was born July 2, 1924 in Printer, KY, a son of the late Maryland and Mary Mageline Branham Conn.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, a retired Factory Worker, retired Bus Driver for Job Corps, a US Army and US Coast Guard Veteran.

He is survived by his son; Kenny (Debbie) Bentley, Prestonsburg, KY, daughter at heart; Brenda Ousley Bolen, Drift, KY, one brother; Virgil Conn, Allen, KY, one sister; Susie Rickman, Munith, MI, two grandsons; Brett (Blair) Bentley and Kris Bentley, three great grandchildren, Sawyer, Wylder and Carolina.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Ike, Fred, Nelse and Arthur "Buck" Conn, five sisters; Myrtle Marie Hall, Polly Jane Conn, Margie Greer, Artie Rose and Alberta Blackburn.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Shannon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
