Mary Florence Chapman, age 85, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Louisville, KY. She was born December 24, 1939 in Ligon, KY, a daughter of the late Hauley and Dorothy Newman Hall.
Mary Florence was a member of the Okolona Church of Christ, a graduate of Spencerian College, she worked as a Secretary for US Steel, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, UPS and at one time was the Secretary for Senator Robert Byrd.
She is survived by one brother; Larry Glenn (Mary Jane) Hall, Allen, KY, one sister; Brenda Clevenger, Prestonsburg, KY, sister-in-law; Martha Hall, Louisville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death one brother; Raymond Eugene Hall, two sisters; Fennie Marie Byrge and Hollie B. Blanton.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Shawn Slone officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
