Mary Ellen Stumbo

            Mary Ellen Stumbo, age 62 of Lexington, KY, passed away Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 29th, 1960, a daughter of the late Ellsworth H. "Ted" & Evelyn Marlene Smith Stumbo. As a student athlete at Betsy Layne High School, she was honored with the opportunity to play in the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Basketball game. She was the first female Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent for extension and was recently honored by the Florida Equine Veterinary Association.

            She is survived by one brother: Keith Stumbo (Karen), Harold, KY; one sister: Suzanne Stumbo, Ivel, KY; two nieces: Kaitlyn Tate (Jonathan), Mikayla Stumbo and numerous other cousins and relatives.

            Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

             Funeral service will be conducted Monday, March 27th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY, with Davin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY and visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
