Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Nichols

Mary Elizabeth Nichols, age 77, of Marion, OH, formerly of Floyd Co., wife of 58 years to Glen Edward Nichols, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.  She was born November 6, 1946 in Allen, KY, a daughter of the late Charles Buster and Blanch Robinson Smith.  She was retired from Dollar General.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons; Donnie Nichols and Randy (Kathy) Nichols, all of Marion, OH, one daughter; Sheri Conn, Banner, KY, two brothers; Larry Smith and Carl Smith, five sisters; Gretchen Burkett, Teresa Carroll, Lettie Kinzer, Tammy Conn and Kathy Lewis, six grandchildren; Jordan Williams, Canaan Nichols, Olivia Rider, Destiny Plourde, Andrew Waddle and Abigail Waddle and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Kyle Smith and James Henry "Jim" Smith, two sisters; Nellie Click and Edna Lewis.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Nichols and James Michael Lafferty officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 12 noon, Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
