Mary Katherine (Newsome) Bailey

            Mary Katherine Bailey, age 80, of Morristown, TN, widow of the late Harold Edwin Bailey, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025 in the Morristown-Hamblen Health Care, Morristown, TN. She was born October 21, 1945 in Melvin, KY a daughter of the late John B. and Della Amburgey Newsome. She was a retired school teacher.

            She is survived by one daughter: Melissa Ann Bailey, Morristown, TN; two brothers: Otis Newsome (Vena) and Freddie Newsome (Nancy) both of Charlotte and one sister: Patricia Martin (Lowell), Langley, KY.

            In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

            Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckingham Cemetery, Bevinsville, KY and visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home.
