Martha Carol (Vanderpool) Kidd

Martha Carol Kidd, age 69, of Prestonsburg, KY, wife of Kenneth Kidd, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born in Prestonsburg, KY a daughter of the late Abe and Betty Louise Shepherd Vanderpool.  She was a member of the Cow Creek Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son; Scott "Bub"(Sharon) Kidd, Garrett, KY, two daughters; Patricia(Charles) Mahabir, Union, KY, Tabitha(Edward) Hannah, Pigeon Forge, TN, one brother; Ike(Patty) Vanderpool, Knoxville, TN, three sisters; Sarah Jones, Englewood, FL, Phyliss (Bob), South Whitley, IN, Mary Thacker, Prestonsburg, KY, seven grandchildren; Elizabeth, Abbigail Goodman, Dylan Leslie Goodman, Austin McClusky, Tyler Burchfield, David Burchfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Abe Vanderpool, three sisters; Ethel Scarberry, Effie Garrett, Montana Howard, and five infant siblings.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Nathan Lafferty, BJ Crider and Dave Garrett officiating.  Burial will follow in Brushy Bill Cemetery, Hueysville, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
