Marlene Tackett

            Marlene Tackett, age 85, of Allen, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1938 to the late Mack and Elizabeth Tackett. She was a Christian and a retired business woman.

            She is survived by a son; Richie R. Reynolds, of Allen, Kentucky, a granddaughter; Katelyn (Wes) Hicks, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, a grandson; Zachary Lemaster, of Ivel, Kentucky, a great-granddaughter; Amelia Kate Elizabeth Hicks.

            Also surviving, sisters; Linda Sue (Jerry) Hueseman, Carol (Gene) Blackburn, brothers; Marvin (Barbara) Tackett, Wilkie (Roselane) Tackett, Milford Tackett, Michael (Patty) Tackett, and Todd (Cathy) Tackett, and sister-in-law; Barbara Tackett, of North Carolina.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter; Janie Elizabeth Lemaster, son-in-law; Paul Edward "Pete" Lemaster, her brothers; Monfort and Clenon Tackett; nephews Brandon Hueseman and Wendell Tackett.

            Marlene owned a very successful court reporting business, along with several other businesses. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to all parts of the world where she saw the Berlin Wall just before it fell, the Pope twice while in Rome and enjoyed seeing China, Thailand and Italy with Zach. She loved spending time with family, playing Rook, and silly games. She will be greatly missed.

            A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Mark Tackett officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. Monday at Hall Funeral Home.
