Margarette "Peggy" Gibson, age 72, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Maytown, widow of Dennis Clark "Denny" Gibson, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at her residence. She was born September 5, 1947 in Martin, KY a daughter of the late Raymond "Red" Crum and Anna Jean Hicks Crum. Peggy was retired from the Floyd County Health Department where she served as the Clerk Supervisor for many years.
She is survived by one brother William R. "Bud" Crum, Lexington, KY, nephews; Thomas Clark (Reeda) Hewlett, Frankfort, KY, Mark Linus (Lynne) Hewlett, Georgetown, KY, Bryan (Meredith) Sandfoss, Ft. Thomas, KY, nieces; Beth Anne (Robbie) Lindsay, Lexington, KY, Judith Christine Hewlett, Louisville, KY, great nephews; Justin Charles Lindsay, Hunter Allen Lindsay, Kevin Logan (Samantha) Preston, Zachary Clark Hewlett, great nieces; Teal Nicole Hewlett, Natalie Elizabeth Hewlett, great-great nephew; Riley Patrick Lindsay, and great-great nieces; Aurora Sandfoss and Shelby Lynn Hewlett.
Funeral service for Margarette "Peggy" Gibson will be conducted Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11 am in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with David Heintzelman officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery, Maytown, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation is from 5 until 10 PM Monday, February 3 at Hall Funeral Home.
