Margaret Newsome

Margaret Newsome, age 51, of Mt. Sterling, KY, formerly of Floyd County, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.  She was born April 20, 1972, in McDowell, KY, a daughter of Gail and Tracy Stumbo.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents; Gail and Tracy, she is survived by two sons; Branon Joe (Brittany) Newsome, Whitley City, KY and Jhett (Summer Brinegar) Newsome, Mt. Sterling, KY, two brothres; Dr. Chris (Kristen) Stumbo, Hindman, KY and Britt Stumbo, McDowell, KY, three sisters; Michelle Hall, Morehead, KY, Melinda Cusick, Pikeville, KY and Jill Stumbo, Nicholasville, KY, two grandchildren; Brantley James Newsome and Zaden Kinder.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. CB Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
