Marcus Darrell Gibson

   Marcus Darrell Gibson, age 87, of Prestonsburg, KY, formerly of Estill, KY died Monday, June 17, 2024 in the Riverview Healthcare Center, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born November 20, 1936 in Estill, a son of the late Jim and Mary Conley Gibson. Marcus was a house painter and member of the Maytown First Baptist Church.

   He is survived two sons, Christopher Elvis Gibson, Jackson, KY, Harold Robert Gibson, Somerset, KY, three daughters; Loretta McGuinn and Tanya Carol Gibson, both of Jackson, KY, Melinda Gibson, Warsaw, IN, one brother; Bennie Gibson, IN, ten granchildren and five great grandchildren.

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Ann Slone and Gladys Whitley.

   Funeral service for Marcus Darrell Gibson will be conducted Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 1 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery, Hueysville, KY. Visitation is from 11 AM until 1 PM Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
