Lucille (Boyd) Akers

Lucille “Lucy” Akers, age 78, of Nicholasville, KY, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 in Baptist Health Center, Lexington, KY. She was born October 23, 1943 in Dana, KY. After attending high school at Betsy Lane High School she married Clinton Akers and shared 57 years together. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Nicholasville. She retired from the Central Bank and also worked as an office manager prior.

Lucy is survived by one Daughter: Dana Clinette (Matt) Maloy, Harrodsburg, KY. One brother: Gordon (Pam) Boyd. Two nephews Barry and Tarry Boyd. Three grandchildren: Alashia (Christy) McKinney, Brance McKinney, and Matalyn Maloy. Five Great-Grandchildren: Justise Burns, Payten Burns, Carter McKinney, Octavia McKinney, Alice McKinney.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Akers and her parents Okie and Allie Boyd.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church with Gordon Boyd & Tim McClanahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Lexington, KY, visitation is after 4 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday, at the Church with Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
